Fix-A-Floor Repair Adhesive is an extra-strength, customized formula designed specifically for re-bonding loose and hollow tile, marble, stone, and wood floors without the mess and expense of removal or replacement. The patented tip and clear-cut lines allow for multiple applications, including very narrow grout lines and wood flooring repairs. Suitable for indoor use and covered outdoor areas.

Coverage: One 10.1 oz. tube of Fix-A-Floor Repair Adhesive covers approximately 2 ft. x 2 ft. (4 sq. ft.).

Directions for Tile, Marble, and Stone Floors:

  1. Locate Problem Areas: Identify loose or hollow spots by tapping with a wooden dowel. Mark the perimeter with chalk or tape.
  2. Drill Holes: Using a masonry drill bit (1/8", 3/16", or 1/4", whichever is larger and fits between the tiles), drill at least 2-4 holes on each side of the tile, depending on its size. Drill into the grout lines within the problem area, but do not drill into the subfloor.
  3. Vacuum: Remove dust and debris from each hole using a vacuum. Lightly tap with a rubber mallet to assist.
  4. Prepare the Tube: Insert the Fix-A-Floor tube tip into the drilled holes, ensuring a snug fit. For holes larger than 1/8", cut the tip to fit tightly into the holes to promote good flow. For narrow or no grout lines, do not cut the tip; if needed, poke a hole with an awl through the tip to clear it. Pierce a large hole in the top of the threaded tube with an awl or similar tool, then replace the tip.
  5. Apply Adhesive: Using a caulk gun, slowly squeeze adhesive into each hole with moderate pressure. Avoid pressing the tip down onto the subfloor. If one hole is problematic, move to another. Try to fill each hole completely. Cover the tip with your finger when moving between holes to avoid spillage. Adhesive spilling up and out of nearby holes ensures complete coverage.
  6. Place Weights: Place weights (e.g., 5-gallon buckets half-filled with water) on the area and allow it to dry for 24 hours. The adhesive dries clear.
  7. Grout Holes: Mix color-matching grout to a medium consistency and fill/press it into the drilled holes. After 15-20 minutes, use a damp cloth or sponge to smooth and blend the new grout with the existing grout. Allow it to dry, then wipe clean with a dry cloth. Your floor is now as good as new!

Directions for Wood Floors:

  1. Drill Holes: In the problem area, use a 9/64" drill bit to drill at least 2 holes, depending on the size of the area. Do not drill through the subfloor. Vacuum over each hole to remove debris.
  2. Prepare the Tube: Unscrew the tip and pierce a large hole in the top of the threaded tube with an awl or similar tool. If needed, poke a hole with an awl through the tip to clear it. Screw the tip back on and begin filling.
  3. Apply Adhesive: Once filled, place weights (e.g., buckets half-filled with water) on the area and allow it to cure for 24 hours. The adhesive dries clear.
  4. Finish: Visit your local flooring or home improvement store to find matching wood putty or filler and use it to fill the holes. Wipe clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
