INSTRUCTIONS (MICRO-SYRINGE ADAPTERS)

IMPORTANT ADVICE:

When applying Fix-A-Floor with the precision kits or tips, it’s important to go nice & slow, apply steady gentle pressure to the caulking gun. You must allow for the adhesive to exit the 1.8mm tip, so the trick to this is nice, slow, easy pressure. If possible, use a recommended 10:1 thrust ratio Caulk Gun, this will help to prevent a build-up of pressure inside the bottle. If you see adhesive leaking from the rear of the tube, you are applying too much pressure so ease off.

Use the 2.5mm diamond drill bit and drill 1-2 holes in the grout line on each side of the tile or wood floor. Drill STRAIGHT down into the grout lines or floor inside the problematic areas – be careful not to contact tiles with drill bit. Once the drill bit clears the grout you will feel it release meaning you have reached the void. This is far enough; do not drill into the sub floor!

Insert the Fix-A-Floor syringe tip into the drilled hole ensuring the tip does NOT rest on the sub-floor in order to promote good flow. Slowly squeeze the caulk gun applying gentle pressure. If you see Adhesive coming out of the rear, you are applying too much pressure.

INCLUDES

Stay fresh re-sealable caps

Whilst moving from one hole to the next, release pressure on the caulking gun and place finger over the syringe tip to reduce spillage. If one hole proves problematic, simply move on to another nearby hole. Once the adhesive spills out of adjacent holes this indicates that the area has been totally filled. Wipe any excess adhesive off the top of the floor with a damp sponge.

Once the area has been filled use the included seal cap which will keep any remaining Fix-A-Floor fresh for later use. Apply some weighted objects on the area treated and allow to cure for at least 24 hours (Curing times can vary dependent on depth of area treated)

Finally, Grout drilled holes by simply mixing a colour matching grout into a medium consistency & fill/press into holes (usually with a finger).

After 15-20 minutes use a damp cloth or sponge to smooth & blend onto existing grout. Allow to dry and wipe clean with a dry cloth and your floor is as good as new!!
